BEHIND THE LENS

My name is Mindy Wesley. I've been in the photography business for about three years, but I've been a photographer since I could walk and hold a camera at the same time. I began as a photographer of things rather than people, capturing strange angles on everyday things. I fell in love with the artistry involved in photography in this way. It wasn't until I began capturing my little brother at play that I realized that in addition to the artistry I loved the storytelling and personality that can be conveyed through portraiture. 

 

When I am not photographing people or things you can find me in the music building of Ball State University. I am a sophomore vocal performance major, working towards a career in opera. Of course, every good actress/singer needs a side career, and rather than waitressing I'll be continuing to support myself doing something I love: photography.
